#AfricaIsNotEbola in Photos

April 13, 2015 By Heather

During the ongoing Ebola virus outbreak, travel to Africa has significantly decreased. And it’s decreased all across Africa, not just western Africa or the affected countries.  Recovery–particularly for Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone–is and will be slow and painful.  Not to mention the Ebola outbreak isn’t yet over.  Going to countries in Africa has changed my life, and I know others feel the same. Africa isn’t all about unicorns and rainbows, but it is home to beautiful places, wonderful people, incredible cultures, and astounding animals. Africa (a continent, not a country) isn’t Ebola. So let’s all take the opportunity to paint a picture of the many things Africa actually is.
